About the Staff
Dr. Robert Joba, O.D.
Dr. Robert Joba attended the pre-med program at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He was granted early acceptance into the optometry program and went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1993.
Dr. Joba gained experience in a variety of offices and started working with Joe O'Neill in 1999. The two then decided to open Derby Eye & Vision in 2006.
Joe O'Neill, NYS Licensed Optician
Joe became an optician after graduating from Erie Community College in 1988. He went on to work at Pearle Vision for 10 years and then became the District Manager for Walmart Vision Center for another 10.
Joe and Dr. Joba met while both working at Walmart Vision Center. The two have been partners at Derby Eye & Vision for 14 years.
